Biography

Leonie was born in September 1869 in Charleston, Charleston County, South Carolina.^[1] She was the daughter of Alexander W. St. Amand and Louisa Angela McNamee.

She married Joseph Vital De Mars on 7 September 1911 at St. Mary's Church in Charleston in a ceremony performed by Rev. Father George A. Craft.^[2]

Leonie died on 17 January 1927 in Dallas, Texas,^[3] and she is buried in the Saint Lawrence Cemetery in Charleston.^[4]

The informant was her husband, Joseph De Mars. The 1870 census states that she was born in September 1869.
